Over twenty-five years, she has published more than 90 titles, earning significant international awards and the title of Knight of the French Legion of Honour. In her books, she tackles delicate themes such as emotional growth, homosexuality, relationships, and justice, doing so with grace and compelling irony. In Italy, with Giunti, she has published works including Baby sitter blues, Oh boy! (winner of numerous awards in France, including the Prix Tam Tam, Prix Sésame, Prix Frissons Vercors, also adapted into a television film; in Italy, winner of the Paolo Ungari Unicef Award and second place in the Premio Cento), Mio fratello Simple (winner of the prestigious Jurgendliteraturpreis at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2008), Nodi al pettine (second place in the Premio Cento 2013 and selected among the one hundred must-read books for young people in 2013 chosen by AIE, AIB, and Nati per leggere), Cecile il futuro è per tutti, Picnic al cimitero e altre stranezze.
