CHI MI AMA MI VOTI by Domenico Petrolo e Lorenzo Incantalupo
Mercoledì 8/05 - ore 18:30

How does politics communicate? How much has it been contaminated by marketing? Political leaders or political influencers? These are some of the questions that Domenico Petrolo and Lorenzo Incantalupo raise in their book Chi mi ama mi voti (Guerini e Associati Publisher). On the stage of Go, they will talk about these themes in dialogue with Erika Pontini, chief editor of La Nazione.

The book:

How the first manifesto of Silvio Berlusconi was born, the arrival of Matteo Renzi, the digital revolution of Beppe Grillo and Gianroberto Casaleggio, the clash between Donald Trump and Nike are just some of the stories told through the testimony of those who experienced them firsthand. This volume investigates, through the sharp gaze of the authors and numerous interviews with prominent figures in the Italian and international political world, the role of marketing and political communication, the dynamics that politics has with itself and with its consumer-voters. How does politics communicate? How much has it been contaminated by marketing? Political leaders or political influencers? The reflections of Petrolo and Incantalupo accompany us, in a popular yet informative narrative, to seek answers through the voice and direct experience of the protagonists of the political scene of the last thirty years: from Oliviero Toscani to Antonio Palmieri, from Rocco Casalino to Filippo Sensi, from Luca De Gennaro to Nadia Oliviero, from Luigi Di Gregorio to Benedetta Frucci, from Raffaele Nevi to Chiara Geloni, from Francesco Nicodemo to Alessio De Giorgi and many others. The dialogue with Giovanni Grasso tells us about the communication of the Quirinale and the President of the Republic. A special chapter is dedicated to communication in times of war through the dialogue with Mykhailo Podolyak, special advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelens’Kyi. Two months before the elections, an excellent text to better understand the dynamics of politics.
