Mirko Zullo will join us on stage to present his latest book Se la vita ti offre limoni (Santelli Editore), together with journalist Giovanna Scalzo. We look forward to seeing you there!
The Book:
Marco never knows whether to choose a cone or a cup, never has the right answer at the right time, and has always left things halfway—his studies, his dreams, his relationships. The only steady presence in his life is Maria, his high school sweetheart from their final year. She works as a secretary at a law firm, while Marco works as a cameraman for Iacopo, an eccentric porn film producer. Maria doesn’t know this, because Marco believes that lying is a form of protection.
In just a few years, he becomes a partner at Capriccio Production, one of the most promising adult film companies in Italy, founded by Iacopo. The charade holds up—until the porn industry changes. Bankrupt and abandoned by Maria, who eventually uncovers the truth, Marco begins to wonder whether the compromises he made—with love, and with his own morality—ever truly meant anything. All he wants now is to try and salvage a future that, deep down, neither he nor Maria seem to have stopped believing in.
