Giunti Odeon presents the new film starring Robert Pattinson, directed by Lance Oppenheim and screened in competition at the latest Venice Film Festival: a groundbreaking tale about the power of the media, the sensationalisation of evil and the dizzying nature of television success. In 2006, journalist Chris Hansen set out to make television history with To Catch a Predator, the controversial programme which, through undercover operations and hidden cameras, exposed sex offenders caught in the act live on television. As the programme becomes a national phenomenon and its presenter a public icon, the line between news, justice and entertainment becomes increasingly blurred, and the blurring of the boundaries between news, entertainment and television voyeurism grows ever more untenable.
