Giunti Odeon presents one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, Digger, marking the return of Oscar®-winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu (The Revenant, Birdman) with an extraordinary performance by Tom Cruise in the lead role. The story follows Digger Rockwell, described as the most powerful man in the world and a former Texan oil tycoon. Digger finds himself at the centre of a colossal global crisis after his company and his decisions help trigger a devastating, apocalyptic environmental catastrophe that threatens to wipe out humanity. Whilst the President of the United States (played by John Goodman) and the institutions press for an immediate solution to the ecological disaster, Digger embarks on a frantic and desperate personal mission. His main objective is not only to stem the danger, but above all to convince and prove to the global public that he himself is the saviour of humanity, turning the perception of his own responsibilities on its head before destruction becomes total.
