The Owens family has been a line of witches for generations, bound by an ancient curse that condemns its women to never fully experience love. Twenty-five years after the events of the first film, the family finds itself once again having to come to terms with the past, when a discovery about the origins of their magic brings to light dark secrets that have remained hidden for centuries. Sisters Gillian and Sally Owens (Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman), together with their aunts, must unite once more to face the threat looming over the family. Complicating matters is Kylie (Joey King), Sally’s daughter, who begins to display increasingly unsettling powers and, in her quest to uncover the truth about her origins, ends up awakening dark forces linked to the history of their lineage. To break the curse once and for all, the Owens women must venture beyond the confines of their home in Massachusetts and travel all the way to the UK in search of the source of their magic. Amidst family secrets, ancestral powers and sacrifices, three generations of witches will be forced to fight together to finally give the next generation the chance to choose their own destiny.
