Thirty years after its cinema release, one of the most celebrated romantic films of recent years returns to the big screen at Giunti Odeon: Before Sunrise, directed by the great American director Richard Linklater and starring the unforgettable Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Jesse, a young American travelling through Europe, meets Céline, a French student returning to Paris, by chance on a train from Budapest to Vienna. A deep connection forms between the two almost immediately, and just before they arrive in Vienna, Jesse suggests a crazy idea: that they get off the train together and spend the night wandering around the city, before he catches his morning flight back to the United States. Céline agrees. Over the course of those few hours, the two explore Vienna on foot, talking non-stop about life, love, death, dreams and fears — with a disarming sincerity that stems precisely from the knowledge that the night will end and they will never see each other again. As dawn approaches, what seemed like a chance encounter turns out to be something truly unique.
