A few days after his death, Giunti Odeon dedicates a tribute to Sebastião Salgado, one of the greatest photographers of all time, with the film that Wim Wenders made a few years ago, the splendid The Salt of the Earth. For forty years, Salgado travelled all over the earth's continents following the traces of a humanity in constant mutation. After witnessing the major events that have marked our recent history - international conflicts, famines, exoduses - he set out to discover unexplored territories and grandiose landscapes, to encounter wild fauna and flora in a major photographic project entitled ‘Genesis’: a tribute to the beauty of the planet. Sebastião Salgado's life and work are revealed to us through the intersecting gazes of Wim Wenders, also a photographer, and his son Juliano, who accompanied him on his last journeys.
