"Films can be pure fiction or pure truth. My life as long as it happens is pure truth. I took off my mask because I no longer want to be misunderstood. This is my home, my life made of edges, stumbles, books, wood, climbing. Come in, if you want'. At Giunti Odeon the documentary film on one of today's best-loved Italian writers, Mauro Corona: an intimate portrait of the Friulian writer, sculptor and mountaineer. Through monologues, voice-overs and conversations with friends such as Piero Pelù, Erri De Luca and Davide Van De Sfroos, the film explores Mauro Corona's philosophy of life, touching on themes such as his rebellious youth, his difficult relationship with his parents, his fight against alcoholism and his passion for writing and mountaineering. Literary quotations, taken from the book “The Swings” and interpreted by the narrator Giancarlo Giannini, enrich the narrative, while the majestic mountain peaks provide a backdrop for the protagonist's reflections.
